Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Wednesday
Thus far for Wednesday, negotiated cash trade mostly inactive on light demand in the
Southern and Northern Plains as well as the Western Cornbelt. Not enough sales to
establish an adequate market test. The latest market was last week with live sales at
87.00 in the Texas Panhandle. For the previous week, in Kansas live sales traded from
86.00 to mostly 87.00 with dressed sales at 138.00. In Nebraska for the prior week,
live sales traded from 83.50 to 85.00 with dressed sales at 137.00. Last week in
Colorado live sales traded from 85.00 to 85.50. For the previous week, in
Iowa/Minnesota live sales traded from 84.00 to 85.00 with dressed sales from 135.00
to 137.00.
