Compared to last week: Markets improved late in the day. Feeder steers closed steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady. Stocker steers steady. Stocker heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Demand improved late in the day but quality of cattle also an improvement. Unlike last
week, supply of cattle mostly in medium to fleshy conditions and not many cattle in thin condition ready for spring grass. Early supplies of cattle included several crossbreds. Spring storms moved thru the state
leaving most everyone with some measurable rain. Supply included 69 percent over 600 lbs; 41 percent heifers.
