In Kansas, last week, live sales sold at 81.50 and dressed sales sold at 128.50. In Nebraska, for the prior week, dressed sales ranged from 125.00-126.00 and live sales ranged from 80.00-81.00. Last week, in Colorado, live sales sold at 81.00 and dressed sales sold at 127.00. In Iowa- Minnesota, for the prior week, saw live sales at 79.00 and dressed transactions selling from 124.00-126.00. Light buyer inquiry was noted in Eastern Nebraska. Wednesday, afternoon boxed beef cutout values steady on Choice and higher on Select with light to moderate demand and offerings. Select and Choice rib, chuck and round cuts steady to firm. Select loins firm, while Choice lower. Choice cutout closed the day up .03 at 135.60 and Select closed up 1.03 at 131.25 with 333 total beef loads sold. The hide and offal value from a typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at 8.02 per cwt live, down -0.01 when compared to Tuesday's value.
